In outlining his plan for 2021 and beyond, new Fort Smith Public School Superintendent Dr. Terry Morawski said Tuesday night that he wants to take things slowly.
With most of the construction part of Vision2023 finishing up by the start of the next school year, the district will be able to spend more resources on the other items including equitable access, wellness and mental health, career pathways, staffing, technology, instruction and learning environment.
The district wants to improve each area by the year 2023. Last year, the school board approved the purchase of WiFi hotspots to improve equitable access and broke ground on the PEAK Innovation Center to improve career pathways for students.
