Lawton man accused of trafficking Fentanyl

A 28-year-old Lawton man is free on $50,000 bond after he was accused of having more than an ounce of Fentanyl as well as other drugs for sale. Terrin J’mond Johnson made his initial appearance in Comanche County District Court on Friday where he was charged with felony counts of trafficking in illegal drugs and for unlawful possession of controlled drug with intent to distribute, records indicate. He faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted. According to the probable cause affidavit, investigators discovered over an ounce of the synthetic opioid pain reliever during a search warrant execution of his home at 205 SW 12th on Tuesday. They also found 19 Blue M30 pills, 109 Xanax and a bag with an undisclosed amount of cocaine in the home.

Sanctions sought in upcoming Lawton child endangerment trial

A 46-year-old man awaiting trial in January 2021 for a 2016 charge of enabling child sexual abuse is seeking to throw out evidence and testimony of alleged “prior bad acts.” David Smith of Norman, representing Kevin Crisel, filed a motion to strike evidence and testimony from a family and for sanctions for the spoilage of evidence in Comanche County District Court on Friday. Crisel is slated to face the January 2021 Comanche County jury trial docket for a felony charge of child endangerment. The charge stems from a case involving Crisel’s brother. Anthony Douglass Crisel Jr., 25, was convicted in March 2018 of lewd or indecent acts to a child under 16, records indicate. He received six years to serve with Department of Corrections, followed by one year post-conviction supervision by Department of Corrections and he is to register as a sex offender.
