Tuesday, May 25, 2021 Cornelius Taabazuing at work in the Daniel Bachovchin lab at the Sloan Kettering Institute, where he received the Tri-Institutional Breakout Award for Young Investigators, along with another SKI postdoctoral fellow, Wouter Karthaus.
At this year’s Convocation, which is the highlight of Memorial Sloan Kettering’s academic efforts, Sloan Kettering Institute postdoctoral fellow Cornelius Taabazuing was honored with a prestigious award the 2021 Tri-Institutional (Tri-I) Breakout Award for Junior Investigators. He shared the recognition with another SKI postdoctoral fellow, Wouter Karthaus.
The Tri-I awards are given annually to up to six outstanding postdoctoral fellows at Memorial Sloan Kettering, Weill Cornell Medicine, and The Rockefeller University.

The whole world revolves around them: actors, singers, models, athletes and TV personalities. If I scroll through Instagram, Snapchat or any social media newsfeed, I get too familiar.Â
I have nothing against the entertainment industry and celebrities. I think theyâre talented in their field and do a lot of good with their work. What I canât see is what their big contribution to the world is other than entertainment. It seems as if entertainment has become a first priority and the uttermost thing that the world cares about.Â
