DEMING – Wildcat Pride is shining on the Deming High School SkillsUSA Chapter. The chapter was recently recognized nationally as the recipient of the Models of Excellence Award. Only 24 chapters nationwide were recognized for the award as an Outstanding Chapter by the national SkillsUSA organization in Leesburg, VA. DHS SkillsUSA is the lone New Mexico chapter among the 24 selected.  The annual program recognizes the exceptional integration of personal, workplace and technical skills into SkillsUSA chapter activities. This is the highest honor bestowed on chapters by SkillsUSA, which is among the largest student organizations for career and technical education. SkillsUSA is a nonprofit partnership of education and industry founded in 1965 to strengthen our nation’s skilled workforce.
