Along with actor Akshay Kumar, President Ramnath Kovind also donated Rd 5Lakh to the Shree Ram Janmabhoomi Trust, which is overseeing the construction of the temple.

Actor Akshay Kumar took to his Twitter on Monday, 18 January, to share the news of his contribution towards the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. A nationwide donation drive for the temple started on Friday, 15 January, and will continue till 27 February.
The actor asked the public to also donate towards the construction of this grand temple, with how much ever they were comfortable with.

President Ram Nath Kovind today donated Rs 5 lakh and one hundred towards the grand Ram Temple at Ayodhya as the Trust set up to oversee the construction launched a nationwide donation drive. Leaders of various political and quasi-political outfits joined the bandwagon, flagging off regional drives that will continue till February 27.
