Although 2020 was an especially difficult year for so many in our community, it was also a year filled with generosity and caring. The Milton Community Food Pantry would like to take this opportunity to thank the many people, businesses, church groups and civic organizations who have helped us to fulfill our mission over the course of this most challenging year. MCFP would like to give special thanks to Goshen United Methodist Church for allowing us to use their hall as our base of operations. Thanks as well to the town of Milton for allowing us to stage outdoor distributions from the municipal parking lot during the warmer months. Through the generosity of the Milton Community Foundation and the many community members who donated to the pantry as their charity of choice in supporting individuals impacted by the pandemic, this year we were able to give many of our patrons a special gift during the recent holiday season. Two local groups recently chose the Milton Community Food Pantry as the organization to support with projects for the Martin Luther King Jr. National Day of Service.
The Lower Sussex County NAACP Youth Council #2719 and Delaware s 20th Representative District Committee members collaborated with the Presidential Inaugural Committee to sponsor a food drive and collect donations in support of the pantry.

The Milton Community Food Pantry will be distributing food from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Monday, Jan. 18. All patrons and volunteers must wear masks.
All clients should first report to the parking lot of Goshen United Methodist Church on the corner of Federal and Mulberry streets, then follow the volunteers’ directions.
For the calendar year 2021, and until further notice, the pantry will distribute food on its modified schedule of the first and third Mondays of each month. All distributions will be announced on the pantry’s website, miltonpantry.org/.

The Milton Community Food Pantry will distribute food from 10 a.m. to noon, Monday, Dec. 21, at Goshen Hall in Milton. All patrons and volunteers must wear a mask.
All recipients should first report in cars to the parking lot of Goshen United Methodist Church on the corner of Federal and Mulberry streets in Milton. Pantry volunteers will inform drivers how the distribution will work at Goshen Hall, two blocks away.
Anyone with an emergency food need can call the pantry at 302-278-9557 or Delaware 2-1-1. To see the pantry schedule, go to miltonpantry.org, where monetary donations may also be made.
