Separate crashes result in minor injuries for drivers

COSHOCTON - The Coshocton County Sheriff s Office is still investigating two minor injury crashes from Sunday, one involving a motorcycle and the other an ATV.
Deputies said Derek Black, 25, of New Philadelphia, was traveling east in the 27000 block of County Road 171 when his motorcycle went off the right side of the road and slid into a field.
Black was transported from the scene by Coshocton County Emergency Medical Services to Coshocton Regional Medical Center for treatment of minors injuries, authorities stated. Also assisting on scene was the West Lafayette Fire Department.

Local News Briefs: Conesville crash injures two

COSHOCTON - Two individuals suffered minor injuries in a traffic crash Monday afternoon in Conesville.
The Coshocton County Sheriff s Office said the incident occurred at approximately 3:21 p.m. at the intersection of Marquand Avenue and State Street.
Deputies determined that Heather Cox, 43, of Conesville, was traveling east on State Street in a Dodge truck with dump bed. She went left of center, forcing a four-door Toyota heading west off the right side of the road. The Toyota struck a guide wire to a power pole.
The Toyota was driven by Brinda Kistler, 53, of Coshocton. Passengers in the vehicle were Brandy Kistler, 38, and a juvenile. The sheriff s office said Brandy and the juvenile were transported to Coshocton Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries.

Top Giver Award went to McWane Ductile for collecting $40,000

COSHOCTON - Every year the United Way of Coshocton County holds its annual meeting to publicly recognize and thank local businesses which earned awards for their contributions to the campaign. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s celebration had to be canceled.
The goal for the 2020 to 2021 campaign was $325,000. To date, the United Way has received $266,495 in donations and pledges, which is 82% of the goal.
Divided into divisions, the professional, public employees and schools all surpassed their goals at 104%, 121% and 106% respectively. Videos of the award winners can be viewed by going to coshoctonunitedway.org.
Coshocton sheriff investigate two Tuesday morning crashes

COSHOCTON - The Coshocton County Sheriff s Office handled two traffic crashes mid-morning on Tuesday.
The sheriff s office investigated a motorcycle crash at approximately 10:52 a.m. at the intersection of Ohio 16 and Ohio 83. Deputies determined that Johanna D. Kaspar, 44, of Wayne County, was westbound on Ohio 16 on a 2005 Honda motorcycle. He accelerated at the traffic light and wound up laying the bike down on the road on its side. The sheriff s office said Kaspar declined to file a damage report and was not injured. Coshocton County Emergency Medical Services assisted on scene.
