Minor injuries in crash
COSHOCTON - The Coshocton County Sheriff s Office reported a one-vehicle crash at 4:17 p.m. Tuesday on U.S. 36, near County Road 27.
Authorities stated Andrew Roy, 27, of South Point, was traveling east in a 2008 Chevrolet when he lost control. The vehicle went off the right side of the road, struck a utility pole and came to rest in a field.
The sheriff s office said Roy was treated on scene for minor injuries. A passenger in the vehicle, 25-year-old Tyler Baisden of Columbus, was transported to Coshocton Regional Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Man charged with felonious assault following shooting

COSHOCTON - Isaac M. Beichler, 21, of Coshocton has been charged with felonious assault, a second-degree felony, in connection to a shooting Wednesday evening.
According to the Coshocton County Sheriff s Office, deputies were dispatched shortly after 7:30 p.m. to Coshocton Regional Medical Center for a man who had been admitted with a gunshot wound. It was determined the shooting occurred in the 900 block of Chestnut Street and the victim was transferred to a trauma center in Columbus for treatment. His condition was unknown Thursday morning.
Detectives processed the crime scene and spoke with witnesses. It was learned that the suspect fled on foot towards the Red Sea area. K-9 officers from the sheriff s office and the West Lafayette Police Department were used to canvas the area. Beichler was found in a few hours and taken into custody without incident, authorities stated.
