NEW DELHI: Equity, currency and commodity derivatives markets will be closed for trading on Friday, April 2, as the Street and the nation will observe Good Friday. This, along with weekly offs on Saturday and Sunday, will turn into an extended weekend for market participants.
The bourses will reopen for trading on April 5, Monday.
This month would have two other market holidays April 14 on account of Dr Baba Saheb Ambedkar Jayanti and April 21 on observation of Ram Navami.
Calendar year 2021 has 14 scheduled market holidays, including six extended weekends because of a holiday falling either on Friday or Monday, data compiled from BSE suggests.
