2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV revealed with 830bhp, 482km of range

With 830bhp on tap from its double-stacked battery pack, the 2024 GMC Hummer EV can propel from standstill to 100kmph in under 3.5 seconds.

The Hummer EV SUV is driven by General Motors’ Ultium Platform and launches with the exclusive Edition 1 package, offered in Moonshot Green Matte.

The first two variants come with a dual-motor setup on each axle, whereas the next three add an additional motor each. Thanks to the mammoth torque figures, the 830PS variants can go from 0-100kmph in around 3.5 seconds!
Specs aside, the Hummer EV is known for its off-road capabilities. The highlight is its ‘crabwalk’ feature, which allows the Hummer EV to be driven sideways, well, just like a crab. Other notable features include underbody cameras (for a real-time feed of the terrain), 35-inch off-road-specific tyres, and an ‘Extract’ mode. The last one lifts the suspension to the highest point, allowing you to clear large obstacles without scraping the belly.

GMC on Saturday unveiled its first electric SUV - the 2024 Hummer EV SUV.
The Edition 1 Hummer EV SUV will hit streets in early 2023 and cost roughly $106,000.
By 2024, GMC plans to sell an $80,000 version with a 250-mile range and more than 600 horsepower.
General Motors has teased for months that its upcoming electric pickup truck, the GMC Hummer EV, would gain an SUV stablemate at some point down the line. Now it s finally here.

General Motors is ready to double up its zero-emission Hummer EV series with the introduction of the SUV version on April 3rd. Fortunately, with winter giving America quite a lot of snow this season, the GMC Hummer EV didn’t need to stray too far away from home. GMC engineers conducted extreme winter testing in the northern part of the Michigan state (close to the City of Sault Sainte Marie).
