Such data were announced by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kazpravda.kz reports. Every year on February 4, at the initiative of the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), World Cancer Day is celebrated. According to the Kazakh Research Institute of Oncology and Radiology of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, about 36 thousand new cases of cancer are registered annually in Kazakhstan. More than 190 thousand cancer patients are registered in the dispensary. Every year 14 thousand people die from cancer, the report says.
