UPDATE: Six-year old Western Iowa girl found safe

UPDATE 5 p.m. – Six-year-old Mackenzie Godden was found safe Saturday afternoon. According to the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, she was found around 4 p.m. Godden was reported missing from Denison Friday evening. DCI agents are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding her disappearance. They did not release any details about where or how the six-year-old was found. Law enforcement thanked members of the communities and volunteers who helped in the search. Crawford County Communications Center gets $17,862.58 to improve 9-1-1 technology April 7, 2021 6:33 PM Mike Tighe Updated: MADISON, Wis. (WKBT) The Crawford County Communications Center received a total of $17,862.58 in a grant program to improve 9-1-1 technology across Wisconsin. The total includes a $10,717.43 in federal money, according to the Wisconsin Office of Emergency Communications. It is one of 18 projects statewide that received a total of $487,876.65 in the second round of federal funding for 9-1-1 networks, the OEC said in a news release. The money is to be used to upgrade and/or replace end-of -life equipment in what the government refers to as local “public safety answering points,” commonly known as 9-1-1.
