Police who launched the major Operation Tell investigation in response made four arrests following a widespread appeal for information. Now it is understood that the Crown intends to prosecute all of the accused together in one trial. It is not likely to get under way until next year. The detail emerged after one of the alleged bombers appeared at Greenock Sheriff Court on Thursday morning on an unrelated matter.
