The ad was released for the Creme Egg s 50th anniversary.
Cadbury UK, in the first week of January, released a special ad for its Crème Egg brand as it was intended for the egg-shaped chocolateâs 50th anniversary.
Created by agency Elvis and titled âIt s the Creme Egg Golden Goobilee!â (As in Golden Jubilee) the ad celebrates the different kinds of people who eat them: lickers, bakers, eggsperts, dippers, discreaters, and sharers.
It was the sharers who fell afoul a few people online. Featuring real-life gay couple Callum Sterling and Dale K Moran, we saw them take a bite while the Crème Egg was held between their mouths as the voiceover says: Sharers? We are down with that.

In the lead up to the product’s 50
th anniversary , Cadbury have released the Creme Egg 2021 advert, and it’s caused a reaction online.
The advert is titled ‘It’s the Creme Egg Golden Goobilee!’ and aims to celebrate the five decades since its creation, through the means of six different eating techniques.
First up is the “lickers” with a woman licking the gooey centre first, followed by “bakers” with a man using crème eggs to bake brownies.

“Eggsperts” shows a crème egg eater aging throughout the whole five decades, while “dippers”…dip their fingers in the crème egg each to their own!
