Readers will be able to browse, borrow and return items and use a computer from Monday. Not only are libraries re-opening but they have fully restocked the shelves ready for you to delve in to the UK’s top titles. Customers will see a wide range of fiction and non-fiction for children, young people and adults including some old favourites and the works of popular authors that have been recently well-reviewed. Gloucestershire Libraries have also invested in more copies of those books that are in high demand to help reduce the waiting time for available copies. The Barn Theatre in Cirencester and super star clown Tweedy are joining a national campaign to get us all reading. Friday is the first Dear Gloucestershire, Drop Everything and Read, where every last Friday of the month pupils and teachers across the county will ‘drop everything and read’. Read Gloucestershire, which is the name of the overall campaign is run by the charity Read For Good and The Barn Theatre are just one of the many organisations across the country to get behind the day to help encourage people to take part and raise awareness of the campaign. Tweedy will return to the digital airways on Friday on the Barn Theatre’s Facebook and YouTube pages at 1pm as he brings Nell Gifford s story - Nell and the Circus of Dreams to life.
