CMCO extended to Dec 31

PUTRAJAYA: The conditional movement control order (MCO) in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Sabah has been extended until Dec 31, said Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob. The Senior Minister noted that the move followed a risk assessment by the Health Ministry, which confirmed a rise in Covid-19 cases particularly in the industrial districts of Selangor. “In Kuala Lumpur, there was also an increase in cases following mass screening exercises currently conducted at workplaces. “Daily cases are still high in Sabah, with the emergence of clusters in housing areas as well as the screening exercise on foreign workers. “With the Health Ministry’s advice, the government has decided to extend the conditional MCO in these states to Dec 31,” he said.
