Thompson s restaurant has a different take on takeout food.
It will offer fully prepared meals customers can finish cooking at home with minimal effort. When I went into this, I was thinking it would be for people who are busy and have kids, but also people are saying they like to cook but don t want to cook all the time, she said. I think my target customers are way broader than I thought it was going to be.
Thompson is gearing up to open Fresh Take Home Cooking later this month at 9670 Chilson Commons Circle in the shopping center at the corner of M-36 and Chilson Road in Hamburg Township.

NORFOLK, Va. People in Hampton Roads got their second taste of snow within a matter of days Sunday when it was part of wintry mix that moved into and across the region.
The appearance of snow on the ground was noticeably lighter than what many locations saw on Thursday.
Neither compares to what areas farther west and north are experiencing or will be experiencing.
