But some 88% said they are looking for new ways to socialise in a post-lockdown world, beyond video calling which became vital during the pandemic. The research – conducted by Perspectus Global on behalf of Xbox UK – also highlights the impact of gaming as a form of communication over the last year, with six in 10 (61%) indicating that they played games online with friends, family and colleagues as a way to keep in contact.
