Farm tractor sales rise 81% in March 2021

U.S. self-propelled combine sales grew 6.7%. The biggest U.S. sales gains were in the sub-40hp tractor segment, which grew 96.5%. The 100+hp row-crop unit sales were up 33.7% in the U.S. Four-wheel-drive unit sales were up 2.5% for the month in the U.S., reversing February’s small decrease. March monthly tractor and combine sales were positive across all segments in Canada, with the sub-40hp segment more than doubling, up 135.5% to 1,545 units sold, 40-100hp units and 4WD units were both up more than 40%.  Total farm tractor sales in Canada were up 80.8% for March 2021 while combines were flat at 95 units sold.
