West Ottawa recognized for excellence in financial reporting PARK TWP.  West Ottawa Public Schools was recently honored for excellence in financial reporting by an international organization. The Association of School Business Officials International awarded the district a Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting for fiscal year 2020. The honor “recognizes districts that have met the program’s high standards for financial reporting and transparency.”  Assistant Superintendent of Business Services Jeff Malloch, who is also the district s interim superintendent, said more extensive reporting and a clean audit contributed to the honor. “One thing that we do that not a lot of others do, we have a more extensive and comprehensive annual financial report,” Malloch said.
