A Lewes photographer charged with misdemeanors in connection with domestic assault pleaded not guilty April 22.
Kyle Kaminski, 31, was charged Feb. 2 with two counts of third-degree assault and offensive touching in connection with two incidents in 2020 – one on July 10 and the other Nov. 8. Mat Marshall, spokesman for the Attorney General’s Office, said Kaminski’s attorney filed a request for a nonjury trial. It is expected to begin Tuesday, May 25.
Kaminski was arrested after a woman told Lewes police about numerous occasions on which Kaminski assaulted her and threatened to kill himself, according to court documents at the Sussex County Court of Common Pleas. The assaults happened at the Outer Banks in North Carolina, his home in Milton, and her home in Lewes, prompting her to set up video cameras at her home to capture further attacks, records state. Kaminski and the woman co-owned New Wave Imagery in Lewes.
