Shutterstock Gap, Hewlett-Packard and US Bank are among 15 US corporate legal departments that have signed up to a new Diversity Lab initiative to hold law firms accountable for increasing the diversity of their teams working on matters. The Move the Needle Fund Diversity Dividends Collective aims to simplify the diversity data collection process for in-house teams and their law firms while also setting out goals to boost the diversity of external counsel teams. To help achieve that, the initiative has set out five core metrics that best measure how firms are progressing – known as the Diversity Dividends 5x5 Matrix. The team is led by partner Jean-Guillaume de Tocqueville, who is joined by counsel Matthieu Ollivry and associates Catherine Feunteun, Diane Richebourg and Charles Smith. The team brings with them a variety of individual specialisms related to banking and finance, including litigation, regulation, ESG and fintech.

Squire secures Clayton Utz s ex-public sector head in Perth Squire Patton Boggs has bolstered its Perth construction practice with the arrival of partner Donna Charlesworth from Australian powerhouse Clayton Utz. Charlesworth joins the firm after roughly seven years at Clayton Utz, including four years as head of the Sydney-based firm’s public sector practice group in Perth. She brings with her a background in advising private and government clients on construction, engineering, maintenance and offtake contracts in relation to projects in Australia, Asia and the Middle East.
