Search for Saginaw Township homicide suspect continues, police release victim’s name

SAGINAW TWP, MI Police have released the name of a Saginaw Township woman found dead in her apartment, while their search for her husband and alleged killer continues.
Officers have identified La’Resha C. Isom-Pittman, 29, as the woman found deceased in her unit at Camelot Place Apartments about 12:26 p.m. on Tuesday, May 18. Police had responded to Isom-Pittman’s residence after a relative found her deceased and called 911.
Saginaw Township Police Chief Donald F. Pussehl Jr. described Isom-Pittman’s manner of death as a homicide but has not elaborated on the method.

COs Jon Sklba and Paul Fox discovered a pop-up shanty with tip-ups set and nobody around on Black Lake in Presque Isle County. The COs waited at the shanty for the subject to return. After a long wait no one arrived, so COs went looking for the subject. The COs were able to track the subject to a cabin. The subject denied being gone long, yet he answered the door in a t-shirt and the tires on his side-by-side had time to dry. The subject had also been fishing without a license. Tickets were issued for the violations.
Dodge Caravan stolen while driver buys lottery ticket at store
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of a gray 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan from Ella’s Party Store in Temperance near the Ohio line while the driver was buying a lottery ticket inside Sunday night.
The driver, 39, told deputies he stopped at the store at 6517 S. Telegraph Rd. about 6:40 p.m. Sunday and was inside less than five minutes. When he came outside, the van was gone. The man’s Ohio driver license was in the vehicle. The man said the van was unlocked and he left the keys in the ignition.
Sault man arrested and facing charges in Emmet County

EMMET COUNTY A Sault man was arrested and faces charges for motor vehicle theft and illegal use of financial transaction device.
On the morning of Oct. 5, 2020, a trooper from the Michigan State Police Gaylord Post was dispatched to a residence on East Levering Road in Bliss Township for a stolen vehicle complaint. The victim said he woke up in the morning and noticed his vehicle missing from the driveway. He had left his keys and debit card inside the vehicle.
The victim learned through his bank that someone attempted to use his debit card in Houghton Lake and Lansing, but the person entered the wrong PIN, and the transaction was declined. The vehicle, a 2007 Buick Rendezvous, was entered in the Law Enforcement Information Network as stolen. The following day it was recovered in Clinton County.
