Participants are asked to write answers for the last 30 questions of the project before August 7. This month the city will be challenged to think about its future. The first set of questions focused on the individual, before moving to opinions about the city and people’s memories of Papaiōea. Virginia Warbrick said the first 120 questions had yielded surprising results from the anonymous participants sharing their feelings about themselves and the city. The exhibition runs until July 2 at Square Edge Community Arts. This is Hunt’s fourth year participating. This is its 10th year and the theme is black and white. It opened in the front gallery of Square Edge Community Arts on June 2 and runs until July 2. Summer Hunt, known as Summer Sparkles Photography, wanted to explore the idea people are all different shades of grey in New Zealand. She wanted a model that would represent a blending of culture, one that was not obviously European or Māori.
