New Delhi, April 30 : Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanding that socially and economically weaker sections of the society should be given top priority in vaccination for Covid-19 and on-site registration facility should also be provided for all.
The Chief Minister in his letter said that there is a possibility that socially and economically weaker sections of the society may get deprived of vaccination if only online registrations are allowed, therefore, on-site registration should be allowed for the 18-44 years age group in the same way it was allowed for 45-year age group.

Raipur (Chhattisgarh) [India], April 30 (ANI): In view of the shortage of COVID-19 vaccines, Chhattisgarh Chief MinisterBhupesh Baghel has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to give priority to the socially and economically weaker sections of the society in vaccination.
The Chief Minister claimed that there is a shortage of vaccines and due to that, it is imperative that socially weaker and economically weaker sections should be vaccinated first.
In a letter to PM Modi, the Chhattisgarh Chief Minister suggested that on-site registration should also be also made available for this category so that no one is deprived of vaccination due to failure to register online.

In his letter dated April 28, Baghel apprised Modi that the population of 18-44 years age group is estimated to be around 1.30 crore in the state who will be administered 2.60 crore vaccines.
