Raipur (Chhatisgarh) [India], January 31 (ANI): Chhatisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Sunday dedicated several development works to the people at a programme at the High School ground in Dantewada.
Chief Minister announced Tehsil status for Barsur and the status of Sub Tehsil for Faraspal, Palnar and Badegudara. Baghel also announced the construction of seven new police stations in Dantewada district and a residential colony after the name of Shaheed Mahendra Karma for Naxal-affected families.
Baghel sanctioned an amount of Rs 4 crore from the revolving fund to engage the unemployed at the village self-employment centre, out of which two-year interest-free loan will be given to the unemployed in the area.

Raipur (Chhattisgarh) [India], January 31 (ANI): Chhattisgarh Chief MinisterBhupesh Baghel on Sunday inaugurated DANNEX Nava Dantewada Garment Factory run by Bihan women groups in Haaram of Dantewada district.
He reached village Haram of Geedam Development Block on the first day of his two-day Dantewada visit. The Chief Minister visited the factory, interacted with the women and girls working there, inquired about their work, encouraged them and appreciated the quality of the garments being manufactured in the factory, according to an official release.
Baghel said that now the name of the DANNEX garment brand manufactured in this factory by the women of Dantewada, will shine in the country and abroad.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has written a letter to Union Minister Piyush Goyal urging him to increase the rice procurement limit from 24 lakh metric tons to 40 lakh metric tons for the Kharif marketing year 2020-21 under the central pool. In a letter dated January 29, Baghel stated that in the Kharif marketing season in the state, the paddy was procured at the minimum support price from the farmers as per the memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Central government s food department, under the decentralised procurement scheme for the procurement of paddy. In the state in the Kharif marketing year 2020-21, as on 28 January 2021, under the decentralized procurement scheme, 90 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been procured from 20.29 lakh farmers on the support price and paddy purchase will be done by 31 January 2021, the Chief Minister wrote.

Raipur (Chhatisgarh) [India], January 31 (ANI): Chhatisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Saturday unveiled a statue of Mahatma Gandhi on the occasion of Gandhi s death anniversary.
Baghel said, On this day, the beacon of peace was assassinated by Nathu Ram Godse. But the Mahatma continues to inspire us to this day .
He added, Mahatma Gandhi visited this place on February 24, 1933. We have selected the same spot for the statue where he had sat and spun a wheel. We also observed two minutes of silence at the exact time when Nathuram Godse assassinated him after touching his feet.
