The private airport operator said on Wednesday that the city’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) has received 256 oxygen concentrations due to a massive shortage of medical oxygen in the case of a spike-19 in the country’s Kovid-19 cases. .
The oxygen concentrators weighed around 5.5 tons, having landed in two trenches, each with 128 concentrators in the last two days.
The medical device concentrates oxygen from the ambient air and is particularly helpful for patients who are isolated at home as well as to meet the demands of hospitals running low on oxygen.
As many 256 oxygen concentrators have arrived at the City's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) from Singapore amid an acute shortage of medical oxygen in the wake of huge spike in Covid-19 cases in the country.
