2021 Proposed Increase to Water and Wastewater Rates

/ Napanee Today Dec 15, 2020 12:09 PM The Council of the Town of Greater Napanee says it intends to consider a by-law to approve the 2021 Utilities Operating and Capital Budget. This will take place during a meeting on January 12th , at 7:00 p.m. at the Selby Community Hall. The proposed Utilities Budget includes an increase of 2.0% for municipal water and wastewater rates next year. The rate hike will result in a bi-monthly increase of $4.23 for the average residential customer. The proposed 2021 Utilities Budget will remain debt free and will continue to provide adequate financial resources to undertake substantial capital work. User rate increases have remained consistently modest, averaging just under 2% over the last 5 years.
