Medical products to be registered only to EAEU rules after 1 January 2022

MOSCOW, 6 April (BelTA) – Starting from 1 January 2022, only the rules of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) will be applied to the registration of medical products. The registration to national rules will be applied until 31 December 2021. This decision was made by the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) on 5 April, BelTA learned from the press service of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
The EEC Council approved amendments to the agreement on common principles and rules for handling medical products and medical equipment in the EAEU dated 23 December 2014. “The document has been sent to the EAEU countries to complete the domestic procedures necessary for its signing. The amendments provide that medical products registered to national regulations of one of the EAEU states can be used on the territory of this state until the expiration of the national registration
The plan stipulates concrete steps meant to implement measures and mechanisms of the strategy. Deadlines and results of the execution of the measures and mechanisms are stipulated as well as people and agencies responsible for them.

77 countries removed from Eurasian Economic Union s tariff preferences system
MOSCOW, 5 March (BelTA) – On 5 March the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission decided in favor of revising the lists of developing countries and the least developed countries that use the unified system of tariff preferences of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), BelTA learned from Aleksei Ashikhmin, a representative of the trade bloc of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
The official said that on the basis of the criteria, which had been previously approved in accordance with the existing world practice, the decision provides for updating the lists of developing countries and the least developed countries, which enjoy economic aid in the form of tariff preferences as they import goods into the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union.
