LAKELAND, Fla. - Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd was appointed to a council within President Donald Trump’s administration that focuses on federal juvenile delinquency programs.
On Wednesday, the sheriff’s office announced Trump appointed Judd to the Coordinating Council on Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention. He was told he will hold the position for three years. An independent organization in the executive branch that coordinates all federal juvenile delinquency prevention programs, all federal programs and activities that detain or care for unaccompanied juveniles, and all federal programs relating to missing and exploited children.
Former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi is among the latest batch of Trump devotees rewarded for their loyalty with positions on government advisory boards and commissions.
Bondi, a member of Trump s legal team during his impeachment trial and speaker at the Republican National Convention, will become a member of the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts Board of Trustees.
Also appointed to the Kennedy Center board on Tuesday was Paolo Zampolli, head of a modeling agency in the 1990s who introduced Donald Trump to his future wife, Melania, in 1998
Earlier this month, Trump gave seats on the board to Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao and fashion designer Pamella DeVos, sister-in-law of Education Secretary Betsy DeVos.
