The ICSE Class 10 board examination has been cancelled due to the worsening situation of the coronavirus pandemic, the board said today days after it had made the exam optional.
The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) board had just days ago postponed its Class 10 and 12 examinations after a nationwide Covid surge and requests from parents and students made them rethink.

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) cancelled the class 10 board examinations (ICSE) as the COVID-19 caseload is seeing a massive surge in India. However, the Class 12 ISC board exams remain deferred and the dates for which will be released later, according to the council s circular.
CISCE had on Friday postponed the ICSE or Class 10 board exams and ISC or Class 12 board exams. The final decision on new dates of examination will be taken by the first week of June 2021, the council had said.

ICSE Class 10th Exam 2021: Days after postponing the ICSE (Class 10) and ISC (Class 12) exams, Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) on Tuesday cancelled the Secondary exam due to “alarming rise in Coronavirus cases”.
ICSE Class 10 exam was scheduled to start on May 4 and end on June 7, 2021. But, the CISCE had
postponed it giving two options to the students. “Students will have the option to take or opt out of the board exams”, the council had said.

Dubai: Class 10 exams for the ICSE (Indian Certificate of Secondary Education) board exams have been cancelled, it was announced on Tuesday, due to rising COVID-19 cases in India.
The CISE (Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations), which administers ICSE, said all its affiliated schools should begin the admissions process for Class 11, if they haven’t done so already. “A fair and an unbiased” criterion on which the basis for Class 10 results will be awarded, is going to be announced “later”.
What about Class 12?
As announced earlier (on Friday) by CISE, exams for the Class 12 ISC (Indian School Certificate) have been delayed from their May 4 start date. CISCE said it will closely monitor the COVID-19 situation in India; the postponement of the exams will be reviewed and a final decision will be taken in the first week of June.
