Ltd. Since early this month, CDC has given green light to seven projects. The total investment of these seven projects, including the latest one, is worth nearly $27.6 million and these will generate around 4,000 jobs, according to Cambodian media reports.

PHNOM PENH, Jan 30 (Phnom Penh Post/ANN): Cambodia s newly-drafted Investment Law will be in effect as soon as in April 2021, according to Ministry of Economy and Finance secretary of state Phan Phalla.
He made the remark at the Public Forum on Macroeconomic Management and Budget Law 2021, ushering in a fresh wind of optimism that the document will sweeten the pot and entice investors to foray into the Kingdom.
With the finishing touches on the draft law complete, he said all that remains is for final approval from a number of institutions.

It was a historical moment for Cambodia’s diplomacy when the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation launched the nascent “Economic Diplomacy Strategy (2021-2023)” on January 18, 2021.
In the wider definition of economic diplomacy, such strategy is not new. For instance, Cambodia’s efforts to integrate its economy with the region and the world through its accession in ASEAN and the World Trade Organisation in 1999 and 2004 respectively can be considered as the early phase of economic diplomacy.

Ltd. will construct a garment factory in the Roneam commune in Traing district and is expected to create 843 jobs. Since early this month, CDC has approved four investment projects. The four projects have a total capital investment of nearly $16.5 million, generating over 2,000 jobs, according to Cambodian media reports.
