CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas â The Corpus Christi - Nueces County Public Health District has scheduled a mass vaccination drive-thru clinic at the old Christus Spohn Hospital Memorial site, 2606 Hospital Boulevard, on Friday, August 6, from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
In addition, COVID-19 testing sites remain open throughout the city.
Vaccinations and COVID-19 testing are provided
free to the public.
Amistad Community Health Clinic, located at 1533 South Brownlee Blvd., offers COVID-19 testing on Tuesdays and Thursdays only. Individuals must call (361) 886-3050 to schedule an appointment. This location provides both âsickâ and âwellâ testing.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas â Two more locations across Nueces County will provide free COVID-19 testing.
Amistad Community Health Clinic on South Brownlee will have free testing on Tuesdays and Thursdays by appointment.
The county health department also has testing available on Wednesday by appointment.
And if you need to be vaccinated, the COVID-19 vaccine clinic still is set up at La Palmera Mall. No appointment is necessary there.
The clinic is open during normal mall business hours.

Nueces County Judge Barbara Canales and Public Health Director Annette Rodriguez on Friday urged the community to get vaccinated amid a rise in COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations.
The county has not only seen a steady increase of cases between June and July, but also an increase in hospitalizations, Rodriguez said.
In only a few days this week, the number of individuals hospitalized with COVID-19 in Nueces County increased by 245 percent, and those placed in intensive care increased by 155 percent. We knew and believed that the reason this happened was because of variants circulating in our community, Rodriguez said.

Corpus Christi-Nueces County Public Health District announced the new testing sites Friday.
Amistad Community Health Clinic, located at 1533 South Brownlee Boulevard will have free testing on Tuesdays and Thursdays, by appointment only, from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.. Call (361) 886-3050 to schedule an appointment.
The Corpus Christi-Nueces County Public Health District, located at 1702 Horne Road, is offering free, drive-thru COVID-19 testing on Wednesdays, by appointment only, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.. Call (361) 826-1339 to schedule an appointment.
