(UNDATED) – In April 2020, the Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence County received grants to produce a state-of-the-art makerspace for the youth of Lawrence County, Dr. Brett Seidle was named Executive Director of Naval Sea Systems Command’s Naval Surface and Undersea Warfare Centers, Dave Flinn was named Bedford’s street commissioner, Katie Messman was named the Juvenile Detention Alternative Initiative Coordinator for Lawrence County, and a fallen Marine was laid to rest.
Boys & Girls Club Launch Makerspace For Youth
In April 2020, the Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence County received grants from the Regional Opportunities Initiative and the NBA All-Star 2021 Legacy Project to produce a state-of-the-art makerspace for the youth of Lawrence County.

(UNDATED) – More than 240 Indiana cities, towns and counties recently received a combined total of more than $101 million in state matching grants for road and bridge improvements through the Community Crossings Matching Grant Program.

Crothersville going after road funding again; streelights added
CROTHERSVILLE
Crothersville received Community Crossings Matching Grant funding from the state for the third time earlier this year.
That resulted in paving projects on Main Street Circle, Main Street, Walnut Street, Bard Street, Walnut Street, Vine Street, Central Avenue and Cindy Lane.

Now, the town plans to go after funding for a fourth time as applications for the first round of 2021 are being accepted.
During a recent meeting, Brad Bender with FPBH Inc. told the town council the road inventory has been updated and submitted to the Indiana Department of Transportation to determine eligibility for the CCMG program. That will help determine what roads can be included in the application.
