Ballymun: Residents of Emergency Accommodation Protest at Civic Centre By Mike Gilmore A dispute over emergency accommodation has resulted in a protest at the Ballymun Civic Centre today.
Residents of the Travelodge say they were given two days notice - over the phone - to uproot their lives from the hotel to far-flung areas of Dublin.
Dublin City Council has strenuously denied giving any of the residents such short notice, though all correspondence was carried out over the phone so no official record exists to settle the dispute.
