The Pennsylvania Department of State has agreed to take steps to remove dead voters from voting rolls in a settlement reached with an election-integrity group that alleged more than 20,000 deceased voters were on the state’s rolls. The state agreed to compare its voter-registration database with the nonprofit Electronic Registration Information Center, which includes data from the Social Security Death Index, and to direct all county election commissioners to remove the names of dead voters.
