Sursa foto: maramedia.ro As many as 172,157 persons in Romania were drawing social security benefits in March 2021, down 2,209 from the previous month, according to data centralised by the National Agency for Social Security Payments and Inspection (ANPIS). Most beneficiaries were in the counties of Dolj (11,027), Bacau (9,325) and Buzau (8,479), and the fewest in Bucharest City (224) and the counties of Ilfov (971) and Timis (1,394). The average amount paid in March by the Romanian government to social security beneficiaries (minimum guaranteed income) was 264.25 lei, and the total paid in such benefits amounted to 45.491 million lei. At the end of March, 13,054 beneficiaries were suspended from payment, most of them in the counties of Buzau (1,105), Botosani (928, and Calarasi (564).
