$4.7M in grant funds available for programs to benefit community
Money can be used for home repairs, infrastructure, economic development

A dozen people including several local government officials attended a public meeting Wednesday to discuss more than $4.7 million in potential funding through various grant programs.
The list of potential revenue providers included the Small Cities Program (Community Development Block Grant), HOME Program, Ohio Housing Trust Fund, Appalachian Regional Commission, U.S. Economic Development Administration and other related sources. This is an information meeting regarding what funds are available in Cambridge and Guernsey County, said Economic & Community Development Executive Director Kim Haught during the meet at Cambridge City Park. The Ross County Commissioners meet 9am Monday. At 9:15 they ll get an update from Sheriff George Lavender, and at 9:30 Paul Minney will address the Fairgrounds siren repair.
At 10 Ben Givens will speak on detention pond quotes, and at 10:30 bids will be opened on an EPA Water Pollution Control Loan Fund.
At 11 the commissioners will look into the 2021 Community Development Implementation Strategy. After a recess, at 2 they will consider Yellowbud Solar.
