A garage was damaged after a car crashed into the building. Police and fire services were called to Skidmore Way in Rickmansworth last night (June 1) at 7.50pm after a car drove through a garage wall. It was reported that the car was reversing into a front garden before crashing with the garage. While no one was injured in the incident, Three Rivers District Council is currently assessing the damage to the garage. Herts Fire Control tweeted: “Rickmansworth appliance @A07Fire were mobilised to assist with assisting a dangerous structure after a car had driven through a garage wall. “The Incident Support Unit was also mobilised for its Acro-props to support the structural integrity of the building”.

The incident which happened in Nefod Lane, St Martins, at about 10.20pm last night, involved one vehicle.
Shropshire Fire & Rescue Service said no-one was trapped during the incident.
Its crews from Oswestry and Ellesmere attended including the Incident Support Unit and the rescue tender and an operations officer along with West Mercia Police.
The crews left the scene at 10.55pm.
A MURDERER has been handed a life sentence today after stabbing a 45-year-old who stepped in to help a couple when they were being threatened by the killer. Lee Knott died after being stabbed multiple times by 19-year-old Tony Robertson, who pleaded guilty to murder and threatening a person with a blade/ sharply pointed in a public place . Robertson was sentenced at Manchester Crown Court to life imprisonment, with a minimum of 20 years. The court was told that Lee had just got out of a van to allow a couple, who were being threatened by Robertson, to get in. He started walking home along the road when Robertson, of Atlow Drive, Wytenshawe, started shouting at him before running to him, stabbing him multiple times - causing fatal injuries - and running away.
