However, Canada remains a popular campus destination for Indians even amidst the post Covid-19 uncertainty. In fact, according to official statistics from the Canadian High Commission in Delhi, for the first four months of 2021, nearly 100,000 study permits were issued to international students, up from about 66,000 in the first four months of 2020 and from about 96,000 in the first four months of 2019.

The International English Language Testing System, or IELTS, is an international standardized test of English language proficiency for non-native English language speakers. It is jointly managed by the British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia and Cambridge Assessment English, and was established in 1989. Each year, Malawians leave for the UK for further studies. And by 2016, over 300 have received full Commonwealth Scholarships since the 1970s.
