Bangladesh Army Headquarters today issued a rejoinder over the Al Jazeera report titled All the Prime Minister s Men .
The rejoinder was signed by Rashadul Alam Khan, assistant director of the Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR) Directorate.
TEXT OF THE REJOINDER:
Bangladesh Army Headquarters condemns in the strongest possible words the concocted and ill intended report by a vested group in the news channel Al-Jazeera titled All the Prime Minister s Men aired on 02 February 2021 at 0200 hours BST.
This, in fact, is a sequel by the same vested group which has been attempting to destabilize the country in the recent times.

Bangladesh has termed the Al Jazeera investigative report All the Prime Minister s Men as false, defamatory and a politically motivated smear campaign . The Government of Bangladesh has learnt of a false and defamatory report titled All the Prime Minister s Men by Al Jazeera news channel, said Foreign Ministry in a statement this morning.
It said the report is nothing more than a misleading series of innuendos and insinuations in what is apparently a politically motivated smear campaign by notorious individuals associated with the Jamaat-i-Islami extremist group, which has been opposing the progressive and secular principles of the People s Republic of Bangladesh since its birth as an independent nation in 1971.

Dhaka, Feb 3 : The Bangladesh government has rejected the desperate smear campaign instigated by extremists and their allies working from London and elsewhere, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) said in a statement on Tuesday.
The ministry also said that the government regrets that the Al Jazeera media house has allowed itself to become an instrument for their malicious political designs aimed at destabilising the secular democratic government of Bangladesh with a proven track record of extraordinary socio-economic development and progress.

Pakistan has already removed all restrictions on Pakistani visas for Bangladeshi citizens, said a statement issued by the Pakistan High Commission in Bangladesh after a meeting between Pakistani High Commissioner Imran Ahmed Siddiqui and Bangladesh s State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md. Shahriar Alam. The two sides agreed to intensify bilateral contacts at all levels, the statement added.
Speaking to Anadolu Agency after the meeting, Siddiqui said they are waiting for the same response from the Bangladeshi side.

Family of M Farid Chowdhury, who went to take possession of the house of anti-British movement hero Deshbandhu Jatindra Mohan Sengupta at Rahamatganj in Chattogram on Monday after obtaining a court order, today said they did not grab the property, rather went to take possession of the property following legal process.
Farhad Chowdhury, Farid s son, made the claim at a press conference at Chattogram Press Club. Those who termed us land grabbers are running a propaganda, and are doing it intentionally for self-interest, he said.
