ICTP features US Virgin Islands

The mission statement of the Island Green Living Association of St. John in the US Virgin Islands is “to transform the US Virgin Islands (USVI) into the greenest, most sustainable, and resilient islands in the world, engaging both residents and tourists.”
Island Green Living is one of two members of the international Coalition of Tourism Partners (ICTP) on the US Caribbean Island of St. John. The other member is the Caribbean Tourism Organization.
The Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO), is the region’s tourism development agency, with 28 Dutch, English, French, and Spanish country members, and a myriad of private-sector allied members. The CTO’s vision is to position the Caribbean as the most desirable, year-round, warm-weather destination. Its purpose is “Leading Sustainable Tourism – One Sea, One Voice, One Caribbean.”

Minister Mahmoud Hassan Mgimwa, the Tanzanian Minister responsible for Natural Resources and Tourism, was today welcomed by Minister Alain St.Ange, his Seychelles counterpart responsible for Tourism and Culture, at his offices at the ESPACE Building in Victoria.
The meeting was the opportunity for the two ministers to discuss areas of possible operation between Tanzania and Zanzibar, and the Seychelles. The starting of Air Seychelles on the route Seychelles and Tanzania was a point that the ministers discussed as this air service provided the opportunity for joint marketing and of more trade between the two countries.
