International Container Terminal Services Inc. and Alliance Global Group Inc. denied that there is any dispute between the two groups over the planned construction of a mega vaccination center on land owned by Nayong Pilipino at the Entertainment City.
Allegations against the project include claims that it will cut down trees and that a casino will be built on the property. Both AGI and ICTSI’s Razon group own casino businesses.
The ICTSI Foundation submitted an unsolicited proposal to the government last March to build a temporary mega vaccination center in aid of the government’s goal to inoculate as many Filipinos as possible to curb the further spread of the COVID-19 pandemic and to achieve herd immunity by yearend.

Parañaque City’s top official has backed the construction of a mega vaccination center at the Nayong Pilipino amid concerns on its environmental impact.
Mayor Edwin Olivarez said in an interview on DZRH that the mega vaccination facility is not permanent in nature and will only be built temporarily for the purpose of fighting the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
“May sinasabi sila doon na iyong puputulin na puno ng ipil-ipil eh malaki naman iyong lupa na iyon (They are concerned about the ipil-ipil trees that would be cut down for the project but the land area there is really wide),” he said.
It dismissed reports that the company owned by Dangote was allegedly involved in a shady deal that involved the suspended Managing Director of the Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA), Ms Hadiza Bala-Usman.
Reports had said in 2020, some coastline terminals, formerly operated by Integrated Logistics Services’ (INTELs) in Onne ports complex, Rivers State, were confiscated and subsequently awarded to Dangote Group through a proxy company, ICTSI Nigeria Limited.
However, Madsen in the statement said: “We would like to clarify that International Container Terminal Services Inc (ICTSI) is a Philippine listed independent company engaged in the operation of 33 ports on six continents.
“ICTSI ranks as a top-10 port operator in the world. ICTSI is not owned or in any way affiliated with the Dangote Group of Companies.”

Our attention has been drawn to an online publication by Sahara Reporters titled âEXCLUSIVE: How Suspended NPA Boss, Hadiza Usman Awarded Coastline Terminals To Dangote’s Proxy Company In Shady Dealâ, dated Sunday, May 9, 2021.
We want to state without equivocation that Dangote Group does not own and has no affiliation whatsoever with ICTSI as was suggested in the publication.
The Dangote Group of Companies refutes in entirety the claims made in the story and condemn the deliberate attempt by Sahara Reporters to implicate our organisation in a matter we know nothing about.
