NJ Panel Won t Revive IBEW s Suit Over Navy Solar Farm Job
Law360 (June 15, 2021, 7:11 PM EDT) The New Jersey state appeals court on Tuesday ruled in a published decision that state and local laws can t be forced in a federal enclave, shutting down the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers bid to revive its suit over working conditions on a U.S. Navy-owned parcel.

Rep. Tom Malinowski, barely re-elected in 2020, brought in more money than ever before as he prepares to defend his seat in 2022.
Malinowski, D-7th Dist., raised $923,020 from Jan. 1 to March 31, new Federal Election Commission filings show. That’s more than he previously raised in any three-month period during in any three-month period in either 2017 or 2019, the off-years before Election Day.
He entered April with $820,591 in his campaign bank account.
“A lot of people were exhausted by the last election but they’re still coming forward,” Malinowski said.

The federal Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM), which recently finished its draft environmental review of the South Fork Wind Farm, gave the public a chance to weigh in on the document at three virtual public hearings in mid-February, and is accepting further written public comment through midnight tonight.
While much of the focus on the wind farm locally over the past several years has been the local and New York State Public Service Commission review of the wind farm’s export cable, currently slated to come ashore at Beach Lane in Wainscott en route to a substation in East Hampton, the BOEM review focuses on the wind farm itself, 15 turbines slated to be placed in federal waters about 30 miles off the coast of Montauk.
