한림대학교강남성심병원 피부과 김혜원 교수팀이 가려움증 유발 물질인 TRPV3 기전을 세계 최초로 밝혀낸 연구 결과를 발표했다. 이번 연구는 TRPV3의 활성화가 인체 가려움증 유발 이라는 제목으로 국제피부과학회지에 게재 됐다.
가려움증은 만성 피부질환의 가장 흔한 증상으로, 삶의 질을 떨어뜨리며 피부 손상으로 세균 감염을 유발하기도 한다. 건강보험심사평가원 통계에 따르면 가려움증으로 병원을 찾는 환자는 2019년 기준 44만명에 달했다.

DURBAN - The first black female head of the School of Clinical Medicine at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Professor Ncoza Dlova, has been awarded the Maria Duran Medal for 2021.
Dlova is the first South African to receive the award since its inception in 2000, UKZN confirmed in a statement on Friday.
