51st IFFI Announces Line-Up Of Programmes For OTT Platform

The 51st Edition of Asia’s oldest and India’s biggest festival, The International Film Festival of India (IFFI) which is to be held in Goa from 16th January to 24th January 2021, has announced a line-up of programmes that will be showcased on the OTT platform during the festival.
Taking into account the ongoing Pandemic, International Film Festival of India is holding its first-ever hybrid’ Film festival. This year IFFI will organize a few of its events on the OTT platform for its audience. This includes Masterclasses, In-conversation Sessions, Live Telecast, Screening at OTT Platform, Q&A Sessions and Film Appreciation Session.

International Film Festival Of India: Argentina s Pablo Cesar To Enter As Jury Chairman
Argentine filmmaker Pablo Cesar will be the Jury Chairman for upcoming edition of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI). Read further details below.
The International Jury for the 51st edition of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) has been announced with prominent filmmakers coming from all the different parts of the world. The Information and Broadcasting Ministry released a statement informing about the Jury. According to the official statement, Argentina’s filmmaker Pablo Cesar has been named as the Chairman of the jury. The other jury members’ names include Prasanna Vithanage of Sri Lanka, Abu Bakr Shawky of Austria, India’s Priyadarshan and Bangladesh’s Rubaiyat Hossain. The official page of the International Film Festival of India too announced the jury members on their Twitter handle.

NEW DELHI: The 51st International Film Festival of India (IFFI) on Thursday released the lineup of international movies that will compete in the competition section during the festival.
Three Indian films, Bridge by Kripal Kalita, A Dog And His Man by Siddharth Tripathy and Ganesh Vinayakan s Thaen have made it into the list, which includes best of the feature-length fiction films from all over the world.
The International Film Festival of India (IFFI)- 2020, that’s going to be held in the third week of January at Goa, is going to pay homage to legendary Odia filmmaker late Manmohan Mahapatra.

The eight-times national award-winning filmmaker passed away on January 13, last year, at the age of 68 after battling prolonged kidney and heart ailments. He was later conferred with Padma Shri award posthumously.
Confirming the news, Mahapatra’s son Manatosh informed that he was approached by the IFFI officials, who wished to screen one of his films in the festival. “I requested then to screen Bhija Matira Swarga, which was my father’s last film.
