Bills only become Acts once they have passed all stages of their applicable Parliamentary procedure and receive Royal Assent. Once an Act has received Royal Assent, it is published under the authority of the Queen s Printer to this website.

LONDON: The UK governmentâs decision to put Pakistan in the Red List countries, disrupting travel plans of thousands of British Pakistani families, has been legally challenged.
The legal claim, seeking judicial review of the harsh decision, has been launched on behalf of a stranded British Pakistani family in Pakistan and Secretary of State for Health and Social Care Matthew Hancock MP has been asked to review and reverse the Red List categorsiation or face London High Court challenge.
Barrister Rashid Ahmed has launched the claim on behalf of British Pakistanis Mohammed Fiaz, 51, his wife Sabeen Fiaz, and their two minor children Adawiyah Fiaz and Mujtaba Fiaz, who are currently stranded in Pakistan and unable to return to the their home in the UK due to rise in fares, difficulty in securing bookings and expensive quarantine costs.

A British-Pakistani family stranded in Pakistan has filed a legal claim against the UK govt s decision to place Pakistan on its red list.
Barrister Rashid Ahmed has launched the claim on behalf of British Pakistanis Mohammed Fiaz, 51, his wife Sabeen Fiaz, and their two minor children.
The legal claim has been launched on the grounds that the decision to ban all travel from Pakistan was made without any legal authority.
LONDON: The UK Government’s decision to put Pakistan on its red list of countries a move that disrupted the travel plans of thousands of British Pakistani families has been legally challenged.
On Tuesday 9 February 2021, the health secretary Matt Hancock announced in the Commons that new measures would come into force the following Monday, 15 February 2021. UK residents who have been to countries on the government’s red list will have to quarantine in an assigned hotel room for 10 days. Others will have to quarantine at home. Mr Hancock said:

Anyone who lies on a passenger locator form and tries to conceal that they have been in a country on the red list in the 10 days before arrival here will face a prison sentence of up to 10 years.
