Southern gospel singer to perform for Haven of Rest women s auxiliary The Repository AKRON – Raette George, a Southern gospel singer, will perform at the Haven of Rest women s auxiliary on July 6. She has sung for the Cleveland Indians, International Conference of Police Chaplains, Trinity Broadcasting Network, Haven of Rest banquets and numerous local groups.  Bargain shopping that supports the Haven of Rest mission begins at 10 a.m., a light luncheon is served at noon, and the free concert starts at 1 p.m.  No membership is required.   Auxiliary is held the first Tuesday of each month in the main dining room of Haven of Rest, 175 E. Market St. in downtown Akron. Free parking is available.
