PROGRAM BACKGROUND
The conflict that started in Tigray region of Ethiopia in the beginning of November has progressively worsened leading to displacement of population and adding to the already existing needs. The numbers of refugees seeking safety in neighboring Sudan are reported to have gone over 62,000 crossing the border. As per recent report, over 1,7Million people have been displaced within Tigray fleeing conflict. High displacement have been reported from Western and Central part Tigray toward Shire.
