Jul 10, 2021 | 7:30 PM Daytona Beach, FL - An Arizona man remains in custody with no bond after police say he traveled to Daytona Beach to cause hell at the Daytona Beach Police Department. Police were made aware of the threat, which was made on social media, on June 27 after an anonymous call reported the post. The caller also identified the user as 31-year-old Kentay Thomas. On July 5, Thomas announced on social media that he traveled to Daytona Beach and brought firearms with him. According to a police report, further investigation revealed that Thomas might be a member of the New Black Panther Party (NBBP) and the Not (expletive) Around Coalition (NFAC). Per investigators, both organizations carry ideology of supporting violence and murder/attempted murder on a law enforcement officer, which was a catalyst in launching the investigation.
